Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Purpose

Flight Record, LLC (“Provider,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates FlightRecord for helicopter and aviation operators. This Acceptable Use Policy describes permitted and prohibited use of the Services.

The gist

These rules describe how you may use FlightRecord—accounts, security, automation, and lawful conduct. They do not replace the Sensitive Data Policy (what not to upload) or the Privacy Policy (how we handle personal data).

Accounts and access
  • Individual accounts. Sign-in credentials are for the named user only. Do not share passwords or sessions so multiple people operate as one account.
  • Administrator duty. Your company must remove or disable access when someone leaves or no longer needs FlightRecord.
  • Keep company and user profile information accurate and current.
Security and integrity

You must not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to FlightRecord, other customers’ data, or our systems.
  • Probe or test vulnerabilities without our prior written approval.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where applicable law expressly allows it.
  • Bypass access controls, rate limits, or audit features.
  • Upload malware or content designed to disrupt the Service.
Automation, scraping, and exports
Allowed Not allowed
Normal web and mobile app use; authorized API clients Scraping or scripted bulk collection outside documented APIs and export features
Built-in exports your role permits (archives, CSV, reports) Automated harvesting of other tenants’ data or rebuilding the Service from extracted data

Use exports only for your organization’s legitimate business purposes.

Lawful and professional conduct

You must not use FlightRecord to violate law, harass others, distribute illegal content, or infringe confidentiality or intellectual property. Operational entries should follow your company’s safety and HR standards.

Commercial use and resale

FlightRecord is licensed to your company for internal operations. Do not resell, sublicense, or offer the Service to third parties as a standalone product without a written agreement with Flight Record, LLC. Consultants may enter data on your behalf when your company controls accounts and data.

If rules are broken

We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access for material breach, consistent with your service agreement. We may involve law enforcement when required.
